The Three Magi: Littleroot Game Level
This game level was created for my Environmental Design course, for the purposes of learning how to layout and light an environment within Unreal Engine. Also, it was a great teaching tool for making a wide variety of assets that had a unified art style. The town, named "Litteroot," was always planned to be based around the types of small villages seen within the pages of Dungeons and Dragons player manuals. I have always imagined the town as the initial start of a fantasy game, a peaceful and bright start to a fantastical narrative filled with magic and adventure. Thus, there are a lot of medieval and magical elements spread all throughout the town. There are swords, giant treasure chests, and even floating islands above.
All of the assets throughout the game level were originally modeled within Autodesk Maya, sculpted within Autodesk Mudbox, and finally textured within Substance Painter. Then, all these original models were placed throughout an environment in Unreal Engine 5.
